I have eventually come to the conclusion that the government has in-effect stolen potential wealth from the poor and middle class and made the rich richer with it. Not directly, but by excessive regulations – which in effect give the rich advantage and ability to develop their businesses, real estate ventures, properties and lives where the poorer cannot. The rich can deal with excessive regulations – the poor cannot. But the *right* thing to do is to not steal that money back (two wrongs don’t make a right), but immediately abolish unnecessary regulations so the poor can better catch up.
So, there is this sinister game going on where the liberal elite convince the poor to vote Democrat, claiming it will help them. But then the liberals cry for more excessive regulation on everything (more so than the neo-con), thereby giving more advantage to the already-rich, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. The neo-con is also guilty for doing this, only in a less aggressive manner.
Give a damn for the poor? Vote Libertarian (or a very, very libertarian Republican like Ron Paul) and give them the damn dignity of freely doing well for themselves on their own.
