Ron Paul’s famous “What if speech”September 29th, 2011Since we’re on a roll with “What if”… As a YouTube commenter correctly describes, “Greatest speech given on the halls of Congress in the last hundred years”.
If libertarian ideals were implemented, this economy would take off like a rocket!September 28th, 2011If libertarian ideals were fully implemented, this economy would take off like a rocket! Libertarians, as I use the term, includes those in the actual Libertarian Party, such as Gary Johnson and others who stand by libertarian principles, such as Ron Paul. That libertarian reforms would greatly boost the economy is obvious to those with enough intelligence to understand how the economy really works, but not so obvious to those who can’t get it and are brainwashed with liberal or neo-con dogma. More government molestation of business and personal activity is not the answer. Less government is!
And for those who don’t realize, Ron Paul is a libertarian who runs as a Republican as a political strategy, and because the Republican platform is a closer match to the freedoms that matter most (but obviously not a great match at all, nowadays). All freedoms matter, but if the economy collapses (entirely) from lack of economic freedom, nothing else will matter. In addition to assaults on basic freedoms with such hastily written legislation as the Patriot Act, mainstream Republicans have not even done a very good job of standing for the economic freedoms they are supposed too! Consider voting for someone no less libertarian than Ron Paul going forward. Your vote may not count toward a win, but it will count as a statement – a statement that will be harder to ignore as the Republican establishment (and Democrats) hemorrhage more and more votes!
Herman Cain ‘Not Offended’ by Jon Stewart JokeJune 28th, 2011Liberals just can’t stand black conservatives, black Libertarians, black Republicans and black freedom-lovers! It just blows their little minds and shatters their little fantasies. Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfather Pizza, discusses this phenomena with Fox’s Juan Williams. Liberals, comedians or not, are only comfortable with blacks and other minorities in their stereotypical societal roles and places, all while accusing conservatives of stereotyping, being racist and not being politically-correct enough. Who’s racist now? Liberals are racist by insisting that blacks must be whiny, wussy, dependent, big-government-lovers, returning to slavery by effectively enslaving us all to the state. And hey, maybe maximum-3-page bills wouldn’t be such a bad idea afterall!
Ron Paul: Undeniable popularity and supportJune 24th, 2011I remember during the 2008 presidential campaigns – I was surprised and impressed by the grassroots support for Ron Paul. I had never seen such enthusiastic support for a candidate, and that support mostly being ignored by the mass media. He is hated by the liberal and GOP establishments alike, but he may be just the medicine America needs. Only Ron Paul is dead serious about freedom and about the constitution. All others lead the nation astray. Fox News repeated laughs off and/or denies the importance of Ron Paul winning in polls (even their own!). After a while, you’d think they would take him seriously. If Ron Paul is not nominated by the GOP for 2012, they will be in deep regret. Millions, including myself, will likely vote for Ron Paul anyway, potentially killing any chance of another GOP candidate winning the election. The neo-con types have dominated America for too long. It’s time they and their supporters admit that their time is up and that judgement day is at hand. Ron Paul 2012: Who’s Laughing Now?
David Nolan on Sarah Palin, Glenn BeckNovember 25th, 2010![]() David Nolan, founder of the Libertarian Party The cause for freedom has lost a great man. David Nolan, founder of the Libertarian Party, died November 21, 2010 of a stroke, at 66. The party was actually founded in his living room in 1971. Nolan also created the Nolan Chart, which shows that one’s political stand can be better represented as a two-dimensional diagram instead of the usual one-dimensional right-left representation. This chart is very useful for visualizing one’s political leanings compared to others. You can see where you are on the chart by taking World’s Smallest Political Quiz. In this interview, David Nolan calls Sarah Palin “a shill” and calls Glenn Beck “a wanna-be Libertarian”, yet with some positivity and optimism, acknowledging Beck’s progress toward Libertarianism: More:
We Still Hold These TruthsNovember 21st, 2010We Still Hold These Truths, from the Heritage Foundation. Just a reminder the spirit of freedom in the USA is not entirely dead.
