Why does the government hate business? For the most part, I don’t think that the government consciously hates business (except for the liberal agenda which is consciously anti-business). It’s just that they’re well, too dumb… not putting two and two together and realizing that excessive taxation, excessive tax complexity and excessive regulation hurts all business and generally hurts small business even more! See, when a new mess of nightmare regulation or increased tax complexity comes down the pipeline, large companies can often deal with it easier, because they have departments and specialized employees to deal with that sort of thing – small businesses don’t. Small business faced with such hell may have to simplify or scale down their business to avoid such nastiness, risk being in violation or even close their doors. Big government doesn’t care in the least. After a while, it appears that must be their goal.
